Jellycat have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Quality Control - Customer Safety Manager to manage Jellycats’ incoming quality control program, ensuring any customer quality issues are managed as a priority. Analysing customer feedback and IQC findings to support product quality improvements and managing any product issues that arise by formulating corrective action plans.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

• Work with logistics and warehouse teams to manage incoming quality control (IQC) inspections.
• Develop and maintain IQC inspection records, sharing process with Jellycat warehouses in other locations.
• Regular visits to UK warehouses to review inspections and QC facilities, and to provide continued training for IQC teams on Jellycat expectations.
• Analyse inspection results and prepare regular (monthly/quarterly) reports.
• Arrange enhanced inspections on notification of product issue, blocking stock during inspection as appropriate.
• Review and maintain product issue management process, including internal communications for product issues.
• Maintain product issue tracker and log and produce weekly summary report.
• Provide regular reports and updates on product issue action plans to relevant teams (leadership, quality & design, production planning, sales, etc.).
• Investigate and manage stock corrective action /rework action plans where required.
• Liaise with customer services and sales teams regarding product issues to support actions needed with customers.
• Liaise with social media teams to track social media feedback and commentary, using comments to proactively investigate potential product issues.
• Carry out analysis of customer feedback to identify patterns of issues across products.
• Liaise with overseas warehouse locations, sharing inspection results and examples of good practice.
• Collate group information for inspections to feed into regular reports.
• Liaise with Design and Quality teams to ensure inspection findings are actioned into production improvement / design updates.
• Provide input into defect classification lists and factory inspection guidelines.
• Support the supplier appraisal/review process.

About you:

• Proven experience in QC in high-end consumer products
• Excellent working knowledge of IQC and inspection programs
• Experience in reviewing and analysing customer feedback and inspection data
• An understanding of toys (ideally cut and sew) / childcare articles and their safety standards would be desirable
• Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail a must!
