Director of eCommerce, North America

This is a REMOTE position, however we're hiring this person on the East Coast of the United States / Eastern Time Zone.

As we continue to grow throughout North America, we continue to develop and improve the presence and awareness of our brand.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of eCommerce, North America to lead our digital commerce efforts across the region. This role is responsible for developing and executing the North American DTC strategy, optimizing user experience, managing platform performance, and collaborating closely with global and regional teams. The ideal candidate is a technically fluent eCommerce leader with experience scaling digital operations in a global environment.
You'll be:
Strategic Leadership
- Owning and executing the North American eCommerce growth strategy aligned with global goals.
- Leading revenue, traffic, and conversion performance for the North American website.
- Building and managing the eCommerce roadmap for the North American region, working closely with global counterparts to coordinate product launches, website optimization projects, and site merchandising improvements.
Team Management
- Leading and growing a high-performing regional eCommerce team, including front-end developers and a UX designer, DTC customers, and eCommerce merchandisers.
- Partnering closely with internal stakeholders including other regional eCommerce teams, Digital Marketing, Creative, and IT.
Technical Oversight
- Overseeing and optimizing performance of the DTC website, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Providing technical direction and prioritization for site enhancements, personalization, and mobile optimization.
- Managing front end development team & UX designer to complete site enhancements.
Operations & Fulfillment
- Managing and enhancing operational relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) and fulfillment partners to ensure timely, cost-effective, and scalable delivery experiences.
- Collaborating with Operations & Logistics teams to ensure timely and cost efficient delivery of DTC packages.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Working within a global organization to align on best practices, priorities, and shared technologies.
- Contributing to global digital initiatives and represent North America in cross-functional and cross-regional forums.
Data & Performance Management
- Analyzing and report on KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, retention) to inform strategy and optimize business performance.
- Leveraging analytics tools and customer insights to drive UX/UI improvements and conversion optimization.
You'll have:
- 8+ years of DTC eCommerce experience; minimum 3 years in a director-level role.
- Experience managing a team of direct reports for various eCommerce functions.
- Proven experience managing eCommerce operations, ideally for a luxury or lifestyle brand.
- Strong technical acumen with ability to lead front-end development and work with global IT teams.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus or similar platforms required.
- Familiarity with fulfillment operations and managing 3PL relationships.
- Demonstrated success working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with UX best practices, conversion optimization, and A/B testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience working with a headless architecture is a huge bonus!
- Prior experience with a luxury or lifestyle brand preferred.
