Junior Designer
An exciting opportunitity to join the Jellycat team!
For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.
This is an exciting role for someone who wants to be part of our expanding creative team, as we develop and refine our high-end creative output.
The Junior Designer will play an important supporting role in shaping Jellycat’s creative marketing. With a strong focus on digital assets for campaigns, this role involves designing engaging and consistent outputs across web, email, and digital advertising.
You’ll work collaboratively with senior designers and copywriters to bring the brand to life online - gaining experience across multiple platforms and helping deliver creative projects that align with Jellycat’s joyful identity.
This is a fast-paced role and the successful candidate will need to be adept at juggling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests with ease (and a smile). A friendly team player, you’re always open to feedback (crucial – there is a lot) and come to brainstorms brimming with ideas. Equally, you should feel comfortable working on your own, managing your time efficiently.
You'll be;
- Collaborative in working with the Creative and Marketing teams to translate brand standards and campaign ideas into visually engaging designs.
- Designing and preparing digital assets for use across website, email, and paid media.
- Creating visually appealing layouts for email campaigns that align with brand messaging and drive engagement.
- Assisting in designing digital advertising materials that capture attention and communicate key messages effectively.
- Working closely with senior designers and copywriters to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery across all creative projects.
- Optimising assets for different platforms and formats, ensuring visuals are both beautiful and functional.
You'll have;
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- Around 1–3 years of industry experience, ideally within a digital or creative marketing environment.
- A portfolio showcasing strong layout, typography, and visual storytelling skills, with examples of digital work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with Figma or similar tools.
- An understanding of how design supports user experience and brand communication.
- A Detail-oriented mindset, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach and open to feedback, with a willingness to learn from senior team members.
- A genuine interest in brand storytelling and creating joyful, high-quality design.
