Key Account Manager - Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced of Key Account Manager to support the growth and development of our key accounts portfolio in the Netherlands.
Reporting directly to the Country Manager DACH + NL, your main mission will be to maximize commercial opportunities within our existing client base while identifying new strategic distribution partners. You will play a key role in implementing our commercial strategy and will work closely with the Country Manager to ensure sustainable growth in the Dutch market.
This position is based in Netherlands, with an initial training period at our company headquarters in London.
Regular travel within Netherlands is required, as well as occasional trips to London for internal meetings and trade shows.
You'll be;
Fully owning the assigned key accounts and territories and acting as the main point of contact for all commercial, contractual, and operational matters.
Designing and implementing a tailored annual strategy for each account, aligned with the national business objectives.
Active commercial follow-up: responding to incoming inquiries, manage commercial opportunities proactively, and handle client requests efficiently.
Identifying and activating growth levers, monitor account performance, and continuously adapt commercial actions.
Working closely with marketing, logistics, finance (especially credit control), and customer service teams to ensure smooth and effective account management.
Conducting store visits, lead product range reviews, attend trade shows and follow up on leads generated during events.
Analysing industry trends to anticipate client needs and suggest relevant product assortments.
Operational reliability: tracking orders carefully, verify customer data, handle account-related administrative tasks, and provide regular reporting to management.
Assisting the European Sales Manager and Country Manager with broader business development initiatives when needed.
You'll have;
Previous experience as a Key Account Manager.
Proven experience of managing a book of accounts.
Track record of growing accounts/a territory in a commercial/strategic way.
High accuracy, reliability and attention to detail.
A personable and positive approach, accustomed to maximizing sales through professional relationships, whilst understanding business limitations.
The ability to remain mindful of the ‘Jellycat’ tone and communication style associated with our brand.
Confidence in making commercial decisions, happy to take direction from more senior team members when needed.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
The ability to understand the wider context of managing accounts, liaising with different functions of the business internally, focused on clear and concise communication.
Fluency in both Dutch and English written and spoken.
An innovative and passionate approach, capable of building strong relationships with key retailers.
The ability to hit the ground running and inspire confidence both internally and externally.
