Creating original and innovative luxury soft toys, Jellycat combines luxurious fabrics with quirky and cute designs and sells its products online and via stockists throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Due to our continuous business expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Chinese speaking accountant to join Jellycat’s finance team in London focusing on support for its North Asia businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody wishing to build their experience in a high-paced financial environment whilst working for a dynamic expanding international business. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in some of the core skills, with the chance to pick up more advanced tasks/roles with help and support from the team.

You'll be;

• Managing wholesale and ecommerce payment reconciliations
• Preparing month-end management accounts
• Managing VAT reconciliations
• Dealing with reimbursement approvals
• Analysing expenses and doing accurate checks
• Fulfilling warehouse stock reconciliations
• Preparing and carrying out the banking
• Controlling supplier and customer ledgers
• Liaising and assisting other departments with finance issues

• Good verbal and written communication
• Enthusiasm for a career in accounting and financial management
• Confidence in communicating with colleagues in London and Shanghai
• A relevant degree, or worked towards a professional qualification
• The ability to speak Chinese Mandarin and English (Korean is an advantage but not essential)
• A thorough understanding of Chinese Ecommerce platforms
• Work experience in a relevant accounting role
• Knowledge of SAP Business One (beneficial but not essential)
