Due to our continuous business expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Accountant to join Jellycat’s finance team in London focusing on support for its North Asia businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody wishing to build their experience in a high-paced financial environment whilst working for a dynamic expanding international business. 

The Trainee Accountant will initially support our North Asia finance team with banking, purchase ledger, invoicing and transactional accounting. Through this initial work, you will develop a wide understanding of the business and systems. We will support you with training on the job, and with external professional training. As your experience and knowledge increases, we expect the role to evolve and take on increased responsibility.

You'll be;

• Coding and inputting purchase invoices, credits and bank receipts
• Depositing and matching credit card and online payment funds
• Processing bank payments
• Identifying and resolving payment queries
• Dealing with purchase approvals
• Online banking with multiple banks
• Processing expenses and doing accurate checks
• Handling foreign currencies
• Looking after supplier and customer ledger control
• Liaising and assisting other departments with finance issues

• A strong academic background and relevant degree level, or professional qualification
• The ability to speak Chinese Mandarin and English (Korean is an advantage but not essential)
• Work experience in a relevant accounting role (beneficial but not essential)
• Knowledge of SAP Business One (beneficial but not essential)
