Business Analyst (Production and Demand Planning)

Creating original and innovative luxury soft toys, Jellycat combines luxurious fabrics with quirky and cute designs and sells its products online and via stockists throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
This exciting new role has 3 main areas of focus: identifying business needs in Production and Demand Planning/Forecasting, leading process reviews, defining change requirements, and supporting the delivery of business initiatives in IT systems.
The Business Analyst will work on multiple projects touching all areas of the business and collaborate with key stakeholders and partners to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and that they continue to remain fit for purpose.
You'll be:
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Working with departmental stakeholders to define and manage change.
- Partnering with the SLT and LT in the Product and Production teams (dotted line responsibility), as well as collaborating with cross-functional BA and project SMEs on departmental and business priorities.
Departmental Process Ownership
- Gaining an in-depth understanding of business processes.
- Understanding key system processes to use them thoroughly and confidently.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Documenting simple process flows.
- Part of a global change collaboration group.
Project Representation for Product and Production Departments
- A key contributor in project workshops.
- Translating project needs into clear requirements to inform scope.
- The single point of contact for project delivery.
- Enabling BAU delivery without compromising quality.
SME Training and Engagement
- Translating system/process improvements to SMEs and operational teams within the department.
- Making the induction process for new starters more efficient.
- Sharing feedback with cross-functional teams.
You'll have:
Essential
- A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Business Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering), and/or 3+ years relevant experience in an equivalent role.
- Experience defining requirements in a Tier II+ ERP solution (such as D365 F&SCM, SAP, Oracle, or IFS) within a busy consumer and brand-focused environment.
- Strong organisational skills, combined with flexibility, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- The ability to map business processes into process flow diagrams.
- Proficiency in manipulating data in Excel, with intermediate formula skills.
- The ability to work to fixed deadlines and SLAs.
- A logical mindset, using data and evidence to support findings.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to work independently and handle pressure when necessary.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with and adoption of Agile development methods (an advantage).
- Practical experience with PowerBI and SQL query building (an advantage).
