Assistant Key Account Manager - East Coast

As we continue to grow our footprint, we are looking for an Assistant Key Account Manager to join our growing US team to help support the growth of important key accounts and support the unlocking of white space opportunites. Working closely with the Key Account Manager – East Coast, the main focus of this role is to develop and maintain strong relationships with strategically important accounts. This role involves coordinating internal resources, selling to and in partnership with the retailer, assisting in sales planning, management of account needs and detials to ensure smooth delivery to our customers.
Our goal is to become the number one go-to leading soft toy brand for all ages globally. You will work incredibly closely and collaboratively with our Key Account Team as we embark on growing Jellycat.

You'll be:
- Managing a portfolio of retailer accounts as the first point of contact for sales-related conversations and pitches
- Assisting in the development and execution of account plans and strategies for key accounts
- Tracking sales targets and reporting on performance metrics
- Liaising with internal departments (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure client needs are met efficiently
- Preparing presentations, proposals, and reports for client meetings
- Helping manage contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and service agreements
- Conducting frequent customer visits to ensure high execution of brand guidelines and brand-appropriate merchandising
- Driving business development and growth with existing key account partners
- Prospecting new opportunities for luxury placement of the Jellycat assortment
- Managing order frequency, product availability, and curated assortments for each account in your portfolio
- Ensuring delivery of the annual sales budget, ensuring accounts meet Jellycat standards and profitability requirements
- Responding to all internal and external communications in a timely manner
- Maintaining communication through weekly internal meetings, as well as regular virtual meetings and product reviews with customers
- Helping train and guide new team members when required
- Providing clear and regular updates to the internal team
- Adapting to the Jellycat way of working in tone and communication
- Taking ownership of responsibilities, working independently, and being receptive to direction
You'll have:
- 3–5 years of experience in sales or account management
- An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to craft and deliver presentations, both internally and externally
- A proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships at all levels
- A personable, positive mindset and approach
- The ability to stay focused on maximizing sales through strong professional relationships, while understanding and respecting business limitations and brand guidelines
