Due to our continuous business expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Mandarin speaking accountant to join Jellycat’s finance team in London focusing on support for its Ecommerce businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody wishing to build their experience in a high-paced financial environment whilst working for a dynamic expanding international business. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in some of the core skills, with the potential to learn higher level skills on the job.  

You'll be;

• Ensuring revenue reported in financial systems aligns with marketplace platform reports and is complete - work you’ll be accountable for as part of accurate revenue recognition.

• Reconciling ecommerce payments in a timely manner, matching cash receipts to sales and payment records and correctly handling associated fees - processes you’ll be managing.

• Updating warehouse stock reconciliation daily and weekly to keep warehouse records and SAP fully aligned, investigating discrepancies and proposing actions alongside IT and Operations teams - activity you’ll be leading.

• Identifying, investigating and resolving discrepancies between different data sources, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.

• Analysing and reporting channel performance against budget and forecast, providing the eCommerce teams with reliable insights and data they’ll be depending on.

• Liaising with and assisting other departments on finance and system issues as they arise, supporting smooth cross‑functional operations.

You'll have;

• A relevant degree level, or working towards professional qualification  

• Fluency in Chinese/Mandarin and English 

• A thorough understanding of Chinese Ecommerce platforms (Amazon, Tmall, JD)

• Work experience in a relevant accounting role  

• Knowledge of SAP Business One

• Confidence with handling data

• Accuracy and attention to detail, right first time attitude

• High standard of computer literacy

• A positive can-do attitude

• Confidence with supporting the team and giving suggestions to your manager

• Good verbal and written communication

• Enthusiasm for a career in accounting and financial management

• Confidence in communicating with colleagues in London and Shanghai
